Restored post from old blog

Just restored my old viceaster.com blog from my old hosting based on wordpress. I only have the 2013 dump but i think its okay since i rarely blog during that time.
However i cannot restore just using the dump, so i eventually need to restore my dump to a host, good thing is nowadays there are lot of free web hosting services, in this case i used www.1freehosting.com
First you need to create a database, just use any name and password and then open the phpmyadmin. Restore the mysql dump, which usually located on mysql folder of your cpanel dump.
Then you need to restore the public_html folder files. If your dump in home dir, please extract first and zip the content of public_html only. You will also need to change the wp-config.php to match your new database name, user, password, and host.
You might also need to define WP_HOME and WP_SITEURL if you restored to different domain.
If everythings okay head to your new website, access the wp login, go to tools and export the site into xml.
You cannot directly upload the xml from blogger since wordpress has different format. You need to convert your wordpress xml to blogger xml and it can be done by uploading the xml files to wordpress2blogger1.appspot.com.
The last step is to upload the xml from your blogspot. Voila your old post from wordpress finally show up on your blogspot.

First Post using WLW

For the past few years I finally decided to have a clean slate and start a new blog. The blog still focuses on my interest in computing, traveling, transportation and so on.
I finally move to Blogger based, since it is backed by Google, and also I am trying to have a different atmosphere than Wordpress, I hope it could last.

win32/sirefef.bc aka ZeroAccess.b!env Trojan vs Windows Firewall on Windows 8 : How to Fix

Last night i encounter a trojan called win32/sirefef.bc. It's also known as ZeroAccess.b!env by McAfee. It has been around for 4 months for now.
It happens in Windows 8 32 bit operating system, which i suppose there's a flaw in Windows 8 security.
Although i am also at fault here, since i turned off the UAC and exclude my C:\ drive from Windows Defender scan list.

SGC100 Guide: How to Upgrade your Samsung Galaxy Camera to firmware XXALK1 (and Root)

Earlier this month i bought Samsung Galaxy Camera. Funny i never settle with something as is, so i look for updates, mods and tweaks.
When i bought my Galaxy Camera, its firmware is XXALJF.
Then i found out for my region, which means same CSC, there's newer firmware which is XXALK1. If you don't know the naming scheme by Samsung, the second from the end, J & K represents month the firmware released, so J represent October and K represent November, which obviously means that it is newer than my current firmware.
Also don't worry, this firmware is Official so the phone status will still be Official, and in my experience your data will be keep intact.

How to Upgrade your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0" P3100 to Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1 using Offline OTA

This method is intended for APAC releases, with 4.0.4 firmware out of the box, which in my case come out with P3100XXBLE3. Although these upgrade were intended for XSP and XME (Singapore and Malaysia) but actually APAC firmware are mostly the same, which also contain Bahasa Indonesia.

Notable upgrades: The major difference is that your tab will no longer in tablet mode but in Phablet mode just like Nexus 7. Well it's for you to decide which one is better.

WARNING!: There is a downside by upgrading with this method, that is your phone status will be "MODIFIED". Also you will need to WIPE your internal memory. Do BACKUP first!
